Painting Lesson: Animal Hand Painting

Description: In this lesson, we had to trace our handprints and create an animal out of one or two handprints on our paper. I created a moose. It was easy for me to do this as I made my hands the antlers on a moose. After we created our animal, we had to draw three different places that our animal could live. I made some trees for national parks like Yellowstone National Park, some mountains for colder weather, and a watering hole.
Extension Activity: For this activity, I would do a writing assignment and have students describe in writing for what habitats their animals could live in. For my activity, I did a moose so I would write places that a moose could live in.
